Lastly, Nike beefed up the quality of the materials on the Nike Skateboarding Dunks. With double and triple stitching being the standard in the skateboarding shoe industry, Nike made the Dunks SBs much stronger than tradional dunks.

There have been many special events celebrated with the Nike Dunk SBs. There were special skateboarding Dunks made for St. Pattys day in 2005. When the store opened, according to the New York Post, 70 people were in line. Twenty got the shoes, the other 50 got attitudes. Police were deployed on scene before hand because many knew what would happen when news got out to the sneakerheads who waited outside in freezing temperatures for several days for nothing.
